In 2011 the Ricoh Women's British Open will be played over the famous links course at Carnoustie. This will be the first time this prestigious venue has hosted the Women's British Open. 
St. Andrews Highland Games

Although best known for its golf, St Andrews also hosts an annual Highland Games, which takes place on the North Haugh by the university. Expect to see highland dancing, bagpipes, running, cycling, tug of war, European heavyweight Championships (shot, hammers and cabers) and of course traditional Highland attire, tartan kilts. For tourists this provides the real flavour of Scotland and will provide some unique photo opportunities.
RAF Leuchars Air Show
10th September 2011 (provisional date)
The only Airshow in Scotland returns to RAF Leuchars on the 10th September 2011. A spectacular display at the end of the 
summer. This is a unique opportunity to see aircraft from around the world perform precision flying. An official Military Airshow and the largest event of its type in the UK - great aerobatics and definitely worth seeing!
